Joe Coopers amazing origami pieces are not only eye catching wonderful artworks but imagine these pieces in fabric as a garment adorning a body. a shoulder piece, a bodice, a pocket? imagine them as a laser printed fabric, faces, textures and hidden pictures. The tessellating pattern of this piece reminds me of a kaleidoscope. How he manages such tiny detail is beyond me, such skill! Imagine this in colours or textural 3d fabric? The faces would be amazing! even in leather or plastic in a Thierry Mulgler style plastic moulded bra? or a Versace style Medusa head? My brain is thinking a huge full skirt which i could fold into ornate patterns..... or sleeves on jacket?
