Dotty

Yayoi has collaborated with designers Louis Vitton and Marc Jacobs to create accessories and shop interiors, she also had own clothing label for a time in New York where she rubbed shoulders with the likes of Andy Wahol. Yayoi resides in her psychiatric hospital out of choice since she has a fragile mental disposition and uses "art to correct the disability that began in my childhood".

Yayoi's work is organic, made up of what can be thousands of shapes, exhausting every variation possible to create an extensive series of work.

Yayoi stands out from the crowd with her varying colour of wigs and vibrate coloured clothes, she is not your average Grandma at all. Look at those glasses go.

Yayoi Kusama, retrospective will be exhibited at the Tate Modern London from February 9th till June 5th 2012.
